Should I give a recorded Statement to an Insurance Adjuster?
Insurance adjusters will often request a recorded statement from you after an accident. An insurance adjuster may not record your statement without your permission in the State of Florida. You should never give a recorded statement to an adjuster for the insurance company of the other driver involved in the accident without first consulting with an attorney. You have a duty to your own insurance company to cooperate in its investigation of the accident. However, it is strongly recommended that you do not give a recorded statement to an adjuster for your own insurance company until you first consult with your own attorney.
