Where are bankruptcies filed?

Bankruptcy Law is the product of the United States bankruptcy code which was enacted by the United States Congress.  Bankruptcies are therefore filed in Federal Court.  The Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida which handles bankruptcy cases for residents of Pasco County, Pinellas County, Hillsborough County, Polk County,  Hernando County and Manatee County, among others, is located in Tampa, Florida.
