Can I choose the repair shop to repair my car?

Often, insurance companies attempt to steer you to a particular auto collision company for the repairs of your motor vehicle.  You are not required to use an auto repair company recommended by the insurance company.  You may choose your own trusted repair shop to make the repairs to your vehicle.  Also, insurance companies often want to pay only for what are known as Aaftermarket parts@ for repairs to your vehicle.  If this is the case, you should discuss this issue with your trusted repair shop owner and your attorney.
